President: Doug Hansel-Pauly
Since my move from healthcare to building sciences, I have been very active in the local industry. I use my teaching background to put together presentations for builders, sub-contractors, and architects on new concepts and best practice work flows. Oregon is currently following IECC 2021 for residential & commercial and ENERGY STAR® 3.2 which has pushed the knowledge of both the builders and sub-contractors. I have created programs for my builders and subs to follow after each new code revision that cover the key points that are changing. I have been fortunate to live in an area that is receptive to energy efficiency and indoor air quality improvements.
I am a Committee Member of Bend Climate Action Plan and of the 2021 Oregon Residential Specialty Code development.
I hold BPI Building Analyst, Envelope Professional, Healthy Homes Evaluator, RESNET® HERS® Rater, BSI ENERGY STAR® Verifier Level 1, ICC Residential Energy Code Inspector/Plans Examiner, and EPA 608 Type II certifications.
